A Guided Journey Of Intentional Time In Nature Daily For 40 Days

 

 

Each day you are offered a prompt to accompany you on a visit with nature. The daily prompts are designed to help you develop a lasting connection with the natural world and a deeper sense of yourself. The prompts will encourage you to slow down, widen your awareness, calm your mind and indulge your senses.  

Simultaneously, your time should also be unstructured and spontaneous. Give yourself permission to follow your curiosity and those tugs you may feel in your gut and heart to go and do as you please. The prompts are not a strict recipe to follow, rather they are intended to be inspiration for connection. Add in plenty of pinches of your own desire along the way! Both your curiosity and knowledge of nature will bloom. 

Dedicating yourself to this practice for 40 days will foster an experience of heightened resonance with the energetics of nature and offer you a sense of place, peace and pride that accumulates with daily discipline. 

 

What Will Your Journey Look Like? 

Logistics: Ideally you will  spend 20 minutes outdoors each day, however as few as 10 minutes will suffice. You can choose a nearby trail, park, preserve, river bank, beach or even your own backyard to engage with. Choosing a location that is close will lead to greater success.

 

 

Recommendation: I recommend having a basic awareness of the local hazards in your area such as, but not limited to, poison oak, poison ivy, venomous snakes, and weather patterns that could pose a potential risk. Obtaining a field guide for your local ecosystem and/or speaking with others in your community who have knowledge of natural hazards are great ways to build your own knowledge, awareness and comfort.
